A Social and Holistic Approach to Numeracy

Based on the experiences of a two-year project which field-tested the integration of a social and holistic approach to numeracy learning into workplace and workforce literacy programs. Such an approach sees numeracy as a part of life, within a social context; emphasizes context rather than content; and stresses processes rather than skills.
